Day 33 of my 40 day new skincare routine and 2 weeks of being dairy free

7 Days to go.

Here’s an interesting thing that’s been happening to me…

Those who know me personally, could probably attest that I’m a complete sweet tooth. But almost immediately (24-48hours) after becoming dairy free, I’ve stopped craving sweets. I have had dark chocolate here (ever since Mothers Day) but I’ve only eaten one square of it so far (and gave one to my husband), but other than that I haven’t had anything sweet. Before I started this dairy free diet, I would’ve destroyed that bar of chocolate.

I’m 2 weeks dairy free tomorrow and I won’t go back to eating ‘normal’…Why? I tell you.. Continue reading “Day 33 of my 40 day new skincare routine and 2 weeks of being dairy free”

Day 27 of my 40 day new skincare routine and 1 week of being dairy free

Hello everybody,

I’ve been using my new vegan, german products for a week now, but more importantly I’ve been dairy free for a week now.

The reason I’m doing this new skincare routine for 40 days is that I wanted to reduce the amount of products I’m using and see how my skin could change during and right before my period.

If I’m correct, shark week should start tomorrow (maybe even today) and I can report that Continue reading “Day 27 of my 40 day new skincare routine and 1 week of being dairy free”

Day 21 of my 40 day new skincare routine

Right, I don’t know how to say this, but I sort of ditched all the products (except for the Clarisonic Mia 2) I’ve been using for the last 3 weeks.

Maybe it was impatience, maybe it was the fact that I wasn’t able to follow the same routine when I visited my parents or maybe it was the fact that the Liz Earle and Philosophy products didn’t really do anything for me besides smelling nice.

I don’t want to bash Liz Earle,  Continue reading “Day 21 of my 40 day new skincare routine”

Day 8 of my 40 day new skincare routine

Hello everybody,

So, I’ve been using my new skincare products for a little over a week now and my skin is starting to look much better. I’ve expected this, as shark week has ended a few days ago, and naturally my skin always starts to clear up afterwards.

The reason I’m doing this 40 day new skincare routine is to avoid the hormonal acne breakouts completely. I guess, I would be okay with getting one or two small spots, but the amount I’ve been getting in the past is really annoying for someone who’s 30+.

I’ve included a photo of Day 1 and Day 8 (today)  Continue reading “Day 8 of my 40 day new skincare routine”

Shopping for happiness…

Reasons why I needed to go shopping:

  • It’s a sunny day
  • It’s a rainy day
  • I had a great hair day
  • It’s date night
  • There’s a sale on
  • There’s a sale with further reductions on
  • I was bored
  • I was stressed
  • I needed something (that I didn’t really need)
  • I needed to treat myself
  • I had a 10% off voucher
  • I haven’t been shopping in a few days
  • I got paid
  • It’s the weekend
  • I was invited to a party, wedding, etc.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

That was me then (over a month ago now)
I’ve had that many reasons and more to go into town to buy something.

Looking back on it now makes me a bit sad.
Not only, did I spent lots of money on things I didn’t really need, but I also wasted Continue reading “Shopping for happiness…”

It’s playtime…

I mentioned my “List of things to sort through” on yesterday’s blog entry and would like to use it as an example today.

Alot of people have kids, who happen to have toys…LOTS OF TOYS.

Let’s face it, going through your child’s mountain of toys can be daunting.

So, how do you decide which or how many toys should stay or go?

As a good rule of thumb, Continue reading “It’s playtime…”
