Day 8 of my 40 day new skincare routine

Hello everybody,

So, I’ve been using my new skincare products for a little over a week now and my skin is starting to look much better. I’ve expected this, as shark week has ended a few days ago, and naturally my skin always starts to clear up afterwards.

The reason I’m doing this 40 day new skincare routine is to avoid the hormonal acne breakouts completely. I guess, I would be okay with getting one or two small spots, but the amount I’ve been getting in the past is really annoying for someone who’s 30+.

I’ve included a photo of Day 1 and Day 8 (today)  Continue reading “Day 8 of my 40 day new skincare routine”

Day 5 of my 40 day new skincare routine

I didn’t mean to update so frequently ( I was aiming for weekly updates), BUT I really wanted to update you on my progress.

So, for those who didn’t read my previous posts..

I’ve been using the following products in the morning:

Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skin Cleansing System (on the low speed setting with the sensitive brush head)

Philosophy purity made simple 3-in-1 cleanser for face and eyes (reformulated version without parabens)

LIZ EARLE INSTANT BOOST SKIN TONIC

Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser Combination/Oily

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream

And the evening:

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanse

LIZ EARLE INSTANT BOOST SKIN TONIC

Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser Combination/Oily

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream

I also increased my water intake. I drink 7 glasses of water (300ml each) so, a little over 2 litres.

Here is a photo of how my skin looked on Day 1 and how it looks today on Day 5 Continue reading “Day 5 of my 40 day new skincare routine”

Day 2 of my 40 day new skincare routine

A short update from me. I don’t plan on posting updates daily (as I won’t have the time), but I just had to do a small post about my new morning routine.

I’ve just used my Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skin Cleansing System
for the second time and I can’t describe how well it works with the Philosophy Purity 3 in 1 Cleanser.

It’s too early to say, if my skin will purge or not ( I’m actually hoping for it ), but for now I’m really happy with all the new products I’m using.

They smell nice, they feel nice and they work nice. I hope to see an overall

improvement of my acne scars, discolouration, pores and hormonal acne. Also, in case

Cleaning out my closet…

My closet has never been that bad, but there was definitely too much clutter in it. Too much clutter, that I never or hardly wore. I always seemed to pick the same items to wear. It’s the typical ‘We wear 20% of our clothes, 80% of the time’-situation.

As I mentioned in my post yesterday (Shopping for happiness), I used to go shopping for all kinds of reasons, so of course, I ended up with lots of clutter in my closet.

Now, I don’t have a photo of the before, because when I started this journey, I just didn’t think of taking photos or of starting a blog. There was just too much of everything.

I kinda regret that now, but I can assure you, that you’re not missing out on anything (it was just clutter after all).

I also regret, spending thousands of pounds (not that I counted) on Continue reading “Cleaning out my closet…”

Shopping for happiness…

Reasons why I needed to go shopping:

  • It’s a sunny day
  • It’s a rainy day
  • I had a great hair day
  • It’s date night
  • There’s a sale on
  • There’s a sale with further reductions on
  • I was bored
  • I was stressed
  • I needed something (that I didn’t really need)
  • I needed to treat myself
  • I had a 10% off voucher
  • I haven’t been shopping in a few days
  • I got paid
  • It’s the weekend
  • I was invited to a party, wedding, etc.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

That was me then (over a month ago now)
I’ve had that many reasons and more to go into town to buy something.

Looking back on it now makes me a bit sad.
Not only, did I spent lots of money on things I didn’t really need, but I also wasted Continue reading “Shopping for happiness…”
